CITY OF BOULDER | OSMP
Lia, I enjoyed hearing about your project and look forward to exploring the possibilities further.
Below I've included important details and also examples of my design deliverables.
WHAT SETS INTERIORS ALIGNED APART
-
We focus on quality over quantity, so when we work together you can rest assured you are our top priority.
-
We value a thorough Programming phase, which means we become very clear on your functional needs and ideal aesthetic early in the project. This step sets us up for project success.
-
Our solid communication and a structured process means you feel clear on next steps while keeping us organized and on track.
SETTING EXPECTATIONS

We'll be changing some things up this year and I want to fully disclose the details behind this decision.
-
Mindful alignment. We want to be more intentional about the projects we take on as it's a win-win for all involved. Our ideal projects are ones that involve clients who value the design process, are conscious about their design decisions from an environmental and social impact standpoint, and can roll with the punches, because...

The design & construction industries are struggling. There have been many challenges that have come from the pandemic, including supply chain issues across the board, high demand for quality contractors, delays due to illness, and rep and factory fatigue which has resulted in a decline in customer service, even with companies who have solid reputations. We are strategic with how we approach these challenges, but the truth is there is much out of our control. "Good design is worth the wait" has become our new motto.
-
For full-service projects where we project manage and handle product orders (procurement) we do our best to estimate our hours, however, this is becoming increasingly difficult as there is much more hand holding, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with vendors and contractors due to the reasons listed above. In some cases, I am doubling what I would have estimated pre-pandemic.
-
I am moving towards a 4-day work week which will allow me to stay in my creative flow and improve my work/life balance so I can show up more powerfully for my clients.

THE CONSULTATION

Regarding the consultations, I consider them to be more of a working meeting catered to your specific needs. I review the details you provide when you schedule and prepare accordingly. Within 5 business days I provide a consultation summary which will include my recommendations, any sketches and inspiration images that apply, and a plan of action. My clients have really enjoyed the clarity the get from the summaries. From there, if the stars are aligned to move forward with full-service design, we move onto the next step of the design phase.
